Sir Paul Will Not Let It Be

Sir Paul McCartney has decided to honor us with his presence at the annual seal hunt this spring. Another celebrity waists his time getting involved in a cause he knows nothing about. Watch out Paul...those flows can be slippery.



Now I know that the fox hunt has been banned in Great Britan but reports are that the ban is not being enforced and that the hunt continues.

Photo Fun

In this segment, I want to show you the fun that you can have with someone else's photo. The couple you see below have both become avid photographers and a trip to radioparadise.com will show you some of their excellent work. This photo of an empty frame on a table caught my attention so I decided to place the couple in the frame. I don't recall the exact number of steps it took to get this where I wanted it and to be honest I am not completely satisfied with the result but as you can see, the finished product was on the right track.

A Local Event

On Sunday the family attended a nice little local affair dubbed Winter Carnival. It was a chance for young (and not so young) families to get together for some much needed outdoor activity. The weather could not have been nicer nor the crowd more enthusiastic. Fun was indeed had by all. To commemorate the day I whipped up these few pictures. Enjoy!

Welcome To 2006

I trust everyone had a good time last night and are dearly paying for it today. Serves your right. Getting all tanked up at your age....should be ashamed. I will, at this time, reserve my comments on my evening as I don't want to destroy anyone's perceived notion that I am still a wild and crazy guy. I may be...I may not be. Let's just leave it at that.

On other notes, it seems the Christmas card thing we did last month received rave reviews with several people wanting me to do up their cards for next Christmas. I will gladly meet all orders though a price for this service has yet to be sussed out. If you would like your home on your cards just take several pictures of your home in various lighting conditions and either email or send them to me and I will be glad to do something up and send to you for your approval prior to printing.

So there's our first posting of the new year. I hope everyone has a wonderful year filled with many happy memories. All but you poor folks who were born in the years 1922, 1934, 1946, 1958, 1970, 1982, 1994, 2006. Apparently, people born in The Year Of The Dog are in for some nasty luck this year. Sorry. To these people, be careful.

Make a Parent Proud (Another Christmas Card)

Sorry for delay since the last posting but it is Christmas after all. Like everyone, we've been quite busy around here. Brother- in- law is here from St. John's and there is last minute shopping to do. It was only last week that we got our cards in the mail which brings to us to our latest and maybe most popular project....turning a winter photo into a Christmas card. Today's examples are of my mother's and mother-in-law's homes that I've transformed from dull overcast shots to bright and cheerful holiday scenes. Many steps went into making these cards and I'd love nothing more than to explain the process but as I mentioned, we're quite busy. Reconstruction & Enhancement

I was asked by my mother-in-law to see what I could do the with only picture she had of her and her father. Two major repairs were in order...One to repair the upper left section marred by a photographer's finger and the other, a case of artistic license on my part. Put a new face on the gentleman. This was accomplished by borrowing his face from another photograph.
To repair the darkened area, I reconstructed the terrain to what I imagined it might look like. With that repaired, I wondered what coloring the photo might look like. This is one area where I haven't dabbled too much in but the outcome, I believe, wasn't too bad.
