Here we have a few of my backyard buddies photographed this spring. The female squirrels are preggers at the moment so we should be soon seeing a new generation of these cute little critters.

It has come to my attention that some folks make gravy out of these little guys. To protest this disgusting culinary abomination my little buddy here is making this public service announcement.

MY BELOVED KPIG BLACKMAILS ITS PIGGIES

On March 15th, 2010 my favorite online radio station, KPIG out of Freedom, California turned off its free stream and became a play-for-pay corporate hog, never once notifying its devotees of its plan to do so. This station was special in that the djs still chose the playlist, unlike the prefab stations of today. It was a real throwback to radio's golden era when casual chat and silly comedy bits entertained in a heart warming way. It was comfort food for the ears as Americana, alt-country, blues and gospel made its way to my computer enabling me to turn off the constant regurgitation of FM's classic rock stations. KPIG completely changed my taste in music, introducing me to artists I had never heard of, artists who now almost completly occupy my iPod.
These photos came to me almost instantly and pretty much sum up my feelings on the matter. Lets hope that the corporate weasels have a change of heart (as if) and return the PIG to its faithful listeners.

CURLY LOCKS

Took this picture of my beautiful wife the other day and showed it to Pam only to have her say "you can't post that...I don't have any make up on". This, I do believe is my first attempt at applying makeup digitally.

TIGER NOT OUT OF THE DOGHOUSE YET

Despite Tiger's well rehearsed (and far too late) explanation and apologies, it seems that Elin has not yet forgiven his trespasses (she was a no show and Tiger's on his way back to rehab). Tour players were annoyed that he had his news conference during the Accenture tournament - the same company to first drop him when the story broke, giving the impression Tiger was trying to make some sort of a play against Accenture and perhaps the tour players that have criticized him. He could have easily done this before of after the tourney but Tiger, as always, does what Tiger wants, when he wants. So really, after all the waiting, nothing has changed. We still don't know when he'll be back on tour. He can't afford to miss Augusta, Pebble Beach and St. Andrews - courses he has excelled at. I guess we'll all have to wait and see.

CHRISTMAS CARD DESIGNS (ver. 2009)

Well, it's that time of year again. Time to whip up some personalized Christmas cards for a few folks who aided us in our vacation plans. These kind people were kind enough to rent us their vacation homes which in turn provided us with many, many fond memories. The digs include Gary's fantasic cottage on White Lake which for me is the best week of my summer. Pam and the kids love it too but for me it's heaven on earth. Those sunsets on the dock are as close to a religious experience as I have ever had. I'm sure my bud Danny would agree. Brenda and Steve's condo at Mont Tremblant is a polar opposite to Gary's but provided us with a week nestled in the lap of luxury. Three tier swimming pools, Weber BBQ, the best bikes I have ever ridden and the condo itself with it's comfortable furniture, whirlpool tub and fantastic fireplace. I could get used to living like that.

So as a thank you, I've designed these simple Christmas cards to show how much we appreciate their kind offers. Merry Christmas one and all.

Friends Lynne & Gord Phillips invited us along to this year's Juke Box Mania. A charity event that tests your team's knowledge of rock n' roll. A lot of fun and a great night out. I even got to meet Les Emmerson (Five Man Electrical Band and solo artist). See more photos here.
